Frequently asked questions

Can Rücklagenplaner read my bank account automatically?

No, and that is deliberate. The app has no bank connection and never asks for credentials. You enter the balance yourself – it takes a few seconds and keeps your banking logins out of it.

What exactly does “available” mean?

Your balance minus the sum of all reserves. Only accounts that count toward cash go into the balance; which ones those are is up to you, account by account.

Why is an amount marked in red?

Then the balance is no longer enough to fund every reserve. The app shows the missing amount and marks which entries are still fully funded, partly funded or not funded at all. What decides this is the priority and the order in the list.

How do I change the funding order?

Press and hold an entry in the overview, then move it. Dragging a reserve above one with a higher priority gives it that priority – alternatively you can set the priority directly in the edit sheet.

Does the app sync between several devices?

Yes, as long as iCloud Drive is turned on – between an old and a new iPhone, for instance. The data sits in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account. Without iCloud the app simply carries on working locally.

How do I back up my data?

Through the iOS backup, through iCloud syncing, or with the CSV export under “More → Export data”.

I bought Rücklagenplaner Pro but cannot see the features.

Tap “More → Restore purchases” and make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.

How do I delete all my data?

“More → Delete all data”. After that the contents are gone completely and the app starts again with the setup.

The app is in German although my iPhone is set to English.

iOS lets you set a language per app: Settings → Rücklagenplaner → Language. The app follows your device language on its own, so this is only needed if you want something different.
