Important notice
This is a translation. The binding version is the German one; in case of doubt, the German text prevails.
Notvorrat is not an official service
The app is privately developed and is not connected to the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK), the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) or any other authority. It reproduces their publicly available recommendations and converts them to your household.
Which figures are official – and which are not
Official are the quantities in the 10-day stockpiling table for one adult. Derived by the app and expressly not official are: the age-based scaling for children, teenagers and older people, the vegetarian and vegan variants, the quantities for pets and the “Other” group. These values are marked accordingly in the app.
In an emergency, the authorities' instructions apply
If an emergency actually occurs, only the instructions of the responsible authorities and emergency services are authoritative – not the information in this app. Official warnings reach you by cell broadcast, the NINA warning app, sirens and the radio.
No medical or nutritional advice
The calculation is no substitute for individual advice. For allergies, chronic illness, pregnancy, breastfeeding, for infants and for pets the values are only a rough guide. Clarify your actual requirement and the stocking of medicines with your doctor, pharmacy or veterinary practice.
Check shelf life for yourself
A best-before date is not an expiry date. The app's reminders are a memory aid, not a statement about whether food is still fit to eat. Check the packaging, the look and the smell yourself and throw things away if in doubt – especially bulging or badly dented tins and meat and fish products.
Safety notice on combustion appliances
Generators, gas and camping stoves and charcoal grills produce carbon monoxide and must never be used in living spaces, cellars or garages – not even with a window open. Carbon monoxide is odourless and kills within minutes. The storage of fuel is governed by the building regulations of the respective federal state.
